Rav Mordechai Katz of Telz was once asked by someone, “how is it possible that frum (some) businessmen are ganavim?” He said, “Let me ask you a question, how is it some frum people eat on Yom Kippur and are mechalel Shabbos?” the fellow said, “they’re NOT frum!” Rav Katz said, “exactly, neither are the ganavim”
