I learned in high school that “nu nu”is fine unless you are using it as a real word.Like:
Q.Is that our old challah knife?
A.New!
Q.Are you wearing an old shmatte again?
A.New!!
Q.Do you want to go to that stale sem?
A.(with vigorous head-shaking)New!
