Make sure the kid has the sound of a barking seal otherwise it might be epiglotitis (drooling and sitting up/tripoding), a medical emergency!
Croup- If the steam from the bathroom doesn’t work, the kid has to be nebulized with epi (plain or racemic) and then given a steroid.
