Wolf, had the worker been able to understand and explain to the woman on the phone he would have given her the same response so I don’t see how you could feel responsible. The woman of course has the option of calling that child’s mother and discussing how to handle the situation and if the mother buys the child a cone she can use, or tells the her that the child can have the ice cream without the cone, the mother can always call the store back and place the order. You have no control over that.
