If you don’t want to wait for the lanlord, for a few bucks they sell now Roach control systems. They look like Roach motels, but they contain bait which the roaches take, and it ends up killing the whole colony. (Motels won’t solve a major investation.) This costs about 5-7 bucks. If you don’t want to spend even that much, Boric acid works great. Just spread behind or in cabinets, frigdes or anywhere around food areas. If you have kids, you can still use it, but make sure it’s an area where the kids can’t reach -high cabinets, on top of fridge, behind something that they can’t reach, etc…
