Isn’t it illegal not to? My neighbors who didn’t live in their house but it was still theirs, didn’t shovel the sidewalk and they almost got a ticket.
If being a mentsch doesn’t speak to you then maybe monetary loss will.
If you don’t shovel your sidewalk and someone hurts themselves on the snow, you can get sued.
