just because you have an aversion to pets, doesn’t mean that others can’t form attachments. I had cats & subsequently 3 litters of kittens (that were given away at various times). my husband made me get rid of the remaining cats I had (he caught some kittens on the dining room table on seforim). I miss having a cat terribly & would love to get a kitten again!! especially since we have an empty nest now.
