I am curious as to how parents explain to their little girls as to why their favorite magazines don’t show pictures of women.
When did the face of a frum woman become assur?
Its not assur. No one ever claimed it was. Oh, you looking at it, or staring in order to derive pleasure? Well, deriving pleasure from looking at a woman, even her pinky, is assur.
Is the frum community never going to see pictures of Sarah Schnerer or heilige Rebbitzens of our past.
Sure. In school, and school notes.
Then don’t wonder why eating disorders and cutting are becoming more prevelant in our community when young girls are taught that ladies should not be seen. This possible leads to feelings of self loathing.
