The American College of Endocrinology (ACE) and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) adopted a target A1C of <6.5% at their diabetes treatment consensus conference in 2001.
The target from the ADA, (what you are quoting) is very confusing.
Should be below 7, but really below 6 in certain pts.
The ACE is straight forward.
