It’s pretty clear to me that the answer is to not be rude, and be polite and professsional instead. If you don’t feel you are able to be polite and cordial without compromising your yiddishkeit, it might be good to reevaluate whether this is the best thing for you to do.(Sry, I really don’t mean to be so blunt) Maybe talk it over with your Rebbeim or Moros. But you definitely need to be confident in your ability to walk the fine line of being polite and normal without being dragged into anything against yiddishkeit.
