While I basically agree with you, there is a proper way of expressing this idea. Very sadly, many, if not most, living in America have become totally de-sensitized to what is wrong with viewing most movies and TV, and so do NOT see it as “terrible” at all.
They don’t realize, for example, that even if you are watching a TV show or movie that MIGHT, in and of itself, be OK to watch, it’s VERY likely that along with it, one will see commercials or “coming attractions” that are NOT ok at all. We need to stress this in the chinuch to our children and re-sensitize ourselves to what is appropriate for a Torah Jew to see, and what is not. Just “yelling” at someone (with lots of exclamation points and question marks) will not make your point.-YW- Mod.
