MSEEKER- sadly, the fact that parents in Satmar can dress however they wish, but the kids have to abide by exreme rules, is the reason why they have so many teenagers going off the Derech there.
BPT- as Wolf said- seeing a Tish is not a reason to have preference over a specific Chassidus. I am connected to my Chassidus because my Rav has a big influence on us, like only a Chassid can understand. Liking a Chassidus means being fully into it. Otherwise it’s not real.

I do not know how somebody that’s not Chassidish can have a preference. Besides if they had some kind of specific story that happened to them within a Chassidus.
