when the shadchen calls up the parents with a suggestion the parents do a lot of research on the boy/girl suggested.After checking out dor yeshurim and asking the rabbi for a bracha the parents of the boy meet the girl and the girl’s parents meet the boy.If the parents feel ok with it,the boy goes to the girls city and they meet in a hotel and shmooze (the parents waiting outside the room)after about an hour the boy and girl discuss it with their parents and mazel tov!!
