GAW: I agree with your statement about questions and answers. The problem is when in schools they discourage questions, and humiliate you for asking certain ones. I had a tremendous amount of respect for a Rebbe who knew when to say, “I don’t know, but I’ll try to find out.”
Unfortunately, I also had Rabbeim who didn’t say that, and either just discouraged questions, or told you to just accept things without any explanation.
