“I got insulted once when someone said “wow you don’t even look pregnant” and i was standing there 8 or 9 months pregnant and she had just seen me in the pool in a bathing suit????!!!!”
Things can always be worse – like when someone asks when your due date is and you are NOT pregnant.
When I was an ER nurse, I asked a woman how old her father (the patien) was and she said “he is my husband.” I also asked a woman how old her grandchild was…..and she was the mother. Then I finally smartened up and began asking “what relationship are you?” I figured I couldn’t make any more boo boos that way.
