There is a Michiganer Chassidus. It is a branch of the famous Creedmoorer chassidus. The signpainter who made the sign for their shtibel on the corner of Hewes St and 13th Avenue could not believe anyone would call themselves “Mishigginer” so he spelled it “Michiganer Beis Medrash” in English.
