i know that when i worked as a day camp counselor, we would talk our campers to the nearby 7-11 for the free treat, but sometimes the boy’s division would get there before us and therefore the store would run out of cups. It’s possible that that is what happened; that camps went with the campers, especially on a hot day like today, and the stores ran out of the cups. They should however, give you the small for free then if you ask politely. Simply explain that there are no more of the free size cups left and which cup should you use instead – you can even offer to not fill the cup all the way as to compensate for the amount the free size would give you.
