its actually neodymium…its a naturally occurring magnet other than lodestone…most commercial magnets are just regular pieces of ferrous metals which are magnetized. neodymium is naturally magnetic and its VERY strong. ever wondered why a neocube is called a neocube? now you know…teh balls are neodymium.
