cshapiro, I just saw an ad by a Frum wedding shop and I looked carefully how she covers the strapless dresses. What she does is overlays the top till the waist then belts it with crystals bringing attention to the waist and away from the neckline. The top is the same fabric as the bottom, so it is more sheer like organza but still kosher and you still see the bodice of the gown, so you still have the strapless look showing through. So it is as if she made a blouse on top of the gown that has the neckline and sleeves but ends at the waistline out of the bottom fabric. Do you understand what I am describing? So if you can get two less expensive gowns at David’s Bridal or one and order more fabric that matches the bottom of the gown, that can be a solution.
