I know a school that ask the parents NOT to buy any school suplies, instead the kids have to bring $10-$15 and the school suplies the suplies. That way the parents don’t have to run around town guessing exectly what the teacher had in mind. Besids the school buys in bulk so they get a better price and there is no competition everyone has the same simple suplies.
