zehavasdad — Sorry, but that’s an “urban legend”. Stuyvesant is technically part of the NYC public school system, and subject to the same Chancellor’s Regualation A-412 as all NYC public schools. Students are still not allowed to bring cell phones to school, and if a student is found with a cell phone it may be confiscated and returned only to their parent or guardian.
