Which reminds me, the Yad Vashem website has very good records of those who went through the Shoah – not sure if it is limited to those who were killed or also survivors. I found people who have the same first and last names as my family and are from the same region. Moreover, their histories matched the best information I have for my great uncles HYD. They are clearly cousins of my grandfather AH and of his brothers HYD and I apparently have a distant cousin in Haifa; she was the one who submitted the information.
