So the guard was pointing his rifle at m grandfather, and asked if anyone knew who stole the butter.

A small boy stepped out of the line.

“I know who stole the butter,” he said.

The guard looked at him. “Really? Who was it?”

The boy pointed at the 3rd man, who was lying on the ground, dead.

“It was him!”

The guard looked at him for a second and burst out laughing. He then let them all go back into their barracks.
