I would like to clarify that the streets are cleaned once a week
(barring a holiday, snow, etc.)so if a Hatzala car isn’t moved on
alternate days, a good portion of the street isn’t cleaned. A
neighbor, who is a very active Hatzala member, will UNDERSTANDABLY park his car in an otherwise illegal spot when he returns from a call during the night.
I am discussing those NON-ACTIVE members whose wives saunter out
after the street has been cleaned and then go about their shopping, etc.
While I have tremendous respect for and hakoras hatov to Hatzolah members who actually serve, from the number of inactive
members on my block alone, I think it’s time for the Hatzala administration to cull from its ranks inactive members whose
main motive appears to be the benefits such membership accrues.
