zahavasdad, i know why the day is termed black friday and do not consider shopping a non jewish activity. the reason the stores go into the black on that specific day every year is because that is traditionally the day to start holiday shopping. most stores have the holiday music and decorations and sometimes workers in costume during the black friday shopping.
