I had this exact issue a couple of years ago. I was making too much to be on healthy NY but not enough to be able to afford a decent plan. I was lucky to find a person that brokers different plans and he was able to offer several options that do not have an income requirement. The plan that works best for me is a high deductible one from Oxford. It is a family plan and it costs about $11,000 plus a $2400 deductible (between all members combined), after which it is the regular $20 copay per visit. It doesn’t sound so much cheaper than the one you have now but they have an excellent network and I have not had any problems so far. I believe he also deals with Dental plans.
