If you drink alcohol and then need to take medication later (like a sleeping pill), you may not realize that you need to wait about 8 hours between the two. Although the enclosed pamphlet may say “do not mix with alcohol,” they do not indicate the length of time you need to wait between the two. This information I got from a pharmacist.
