ames, the trick with these things is to make up the information they want and see where it gets you. Once you’ve reached the end of the road you can identify the scammer (or have enough information for a qualified person to do so) and blow the whistle. There’s no way that a phisher is going to say “Sorry, the SSN you provided does not match our records”.
