If I may, let me answer your question, since you were really asking for assistance.

Yidden have changed. That’s right. Every time a Yid hears of a misfortune, he/she takes it to heart and becomes somewhat better. At least a bit. However, the point is est driven home by a more gentler approach.

If I remember correctly, there was this story many years ago of some ‘darshan’ or ‘magid’, some sort of preacher who would go from city to city and harshly rebuke the common-folk. He even had the ability to see into people’s hidden past, he would angrily rant and enumerate their sins. There was one Gadol present who told the people not to go, to be aware of this individual. His reasoning; HaShem chooses for His Nevi’im people of excellent character, free of anger and other negative traits. ????? ??????? ?????, He chose good, kind, caring, compassionate persons as conduits for His word. As one does a cursory glance at the works / words of our holy Nevi’im, one sees the great compassion the Navi felt for his people, while he had to go about his duty rebuking. How the Navi Yirmeya cried out in anguish to HaShem…

Said this Gadol – obviously if this ‘navi’ claims to be able to tell people’s past, it’s not from a Holy source, HaShem would not have chosen him, a man with an evil anger.

Yes, we need to do Teshuva. Let’s do it together, lovingly. Each in whatever he/she needs amending. No need at all to bash. They’re all my brothers and sisters
