There is NO ‘general rule that 10 over is ok’. A cop CAN stop you for going even 2 mph over. Realistically they are unlikely to stop you if you’re not going more than 5-7 mph over, but when you get to 10 over, you are flirting with trouble, – especially if, chalila, you should have an accident while driving 10 over.
