As for Esther’s question, it depends on the band. “Right Now” by Van Halen with the second half of it using horns is one of my favorites (the intro to Journeys IV is based on it; the original is better). But it only sounds good if the band has rehearsed it well. Evanal for example does a really good job at it, but I have heard others make shvacheh mayses out of it. So whatever you choose, it is very important to ask the band if they’ve played or rehearsed it before, and also ask for Youtube videos or recordings, and consider choosing from something they are already really good at.
