As a continuation: The Chilonim don’t really care about Charaidim one way or the other. They are perfectly happy to share the country with those Charaidim & Chardal who work, pay taxes, etc. What really scares them is that the Charadim will take over the country, and Talibanize it. Then the Chilonim will be kicked out, or be forced to leave. Think Spain 1492.
