I see it every year, people putting their whole plastic lulav case with contents still in there in public dustbins. I am shocked anew every year. It is a chefetz of a mitzva and has to be treated as such. Last year i saw a set sticking out of a bin in a tesco carpark. (for americans, imagine you saw a bound lulav in a trashcan in your local Walmart’s car park)
