WolfishMusings: It is far from being a pointless argument. Rav Elyashev ruled State “Get Laws” to potentially render a divorce to be a get meusa. (Others might disagree, but most people I think would rather not marry someone that even some major poskim will consider their future children to be mamzeirim. Who would want to have their children considered kosher by their own posek but mamzeirim by other poskei hador???)
