anon1m0us: You completely misunderstood. Of course you can’t demand any compensation from your wife, as she has no assets, it is all yours. But you have a legal right in beis din to demand that other women your wife gave (your) money to, to return it to you, as it was your money and your wife has no reshus to spend it without your permission.
This is not he Halacha, otherwise, a woman could go into a Jewerly store, buy a necklace from a saleswoman. The husband decides the wife doesnt need a necklace and demands the store return his money. Never mind the item was marked down final sale.
The Husband tells the sales woman, give me a refund because I dont approve or I am going to Beis din.
Or even worse, A wife goes into a womens store to buy certain clothing items. The husband says No return them , Now there are sanitary issues to those items and if the store took them back they would have to throw them out
Stores would refuse to sell to women
