Interesting and (Un)common fact: Potato kugel tastes much better on friday than it does on Shabbos 😉
Probably because the smell of fresh potato kugel baking is beyond belief. It is way stronger on Friday night, because it is usually right from the oven. Cholent is ebtter on Shabbos day than on Thursday or Friday, because it has the benefit of all night Shabbos cooked into it.
