Popa: You are entirely incorrect. In NYC, the homeowner is legally entitled to park on the street blocking his (legal) driveway, while anyone else is legally precluded from doing so. In fact, the homeowner can have a car ticketed for blocking his legal driveway, while if he (mistakenly) gets ticketed in front of his own driveway it will be dismissed.
Out of NYC it may or may not be different.
