Gotcha. Yep, photoshop is definitely the most comprehensive art program out there. I use Illustrator only when working with typography that can’t be done in photoshop. Also, the Pen/Direct selection tool in Illustrator is sooo useful. That’s so funny you follow artists on DeviantArt.. I have some art on there myself ^_^. And I follow tons of artists there too! Some of them are truly amazing. It is so inspiring to see how much one can learn and grow in art skills, and especially from just browsing other people’s art. I also love the contests they have every now and then. I mainly have digital car concept art and 3D model renderings on my profile there. Are there any other sites you’d recommend checking out?
