A frying latke is something that makes the house smell like a home. In fact, you should probably fry some up if you are showing the house to prospective buyers. Hamantashen are great, but they really only evoke Purim. There is never a bad time for latkes.
BTW, doesn’t anyone put prune lekvar in their hamantashen? All I read was about jelly, chocolate, etc. I add lemon juice, allspice, and finely ground walnuts to my prune butter, and the filling is to die for! (But I still like latkes better)
