Round 3 is open and voting has been closed.
the vote is:
the final tally is
Latkes: 10
Hamantaschen: 5
Potato Latkes: 2
now, curiously, Curious (who voted for latkes) pointed out that “Apparently just voting for “latke” is not enough, as you may be referring to zucchini or cheese latkes (yum!). The rules said “Only votes for either the *Potato* Latke or the Hamantaschen will be posted”. Therefore, it looks like hamantashen are leading twenty to zero.”
If we exclude all the commentary and look only at the votes that followed the rules, Hamantaschen win and if we are lenient and go with intent kind of like the “hanging chads” for all those in Florida, Latkes win.
The options that remain open now is to either go to the Supreme Court for a ruling or to accept the historical research dating back to 1946 and the original debate, and just call it a tie.
wishing all a Freilichen Chanukah!
