I would say that you need to find a career that would make you happy, and fit in with your schedule/ family life. Medical billing does not pay a lot, but I know two people who do it and they say that the companies that they work for did not require them to get a certificate, so they just learned everything on the job. However, since you will probably need to work for more than 20 hours a week to support a family (they only had work four hours a day, and then they had like three other jobs to make ends meet), you might want to consider other careers like being a substitute teacher, secretary at a school, or things like that.
