Well, if he was the first one to go around and make standardized spellings and it was followed after he did it, then it stands to reason that he got it correctly. I’m not sure why someone would then decide to change spellings, even if they feel it might be more grammatically correct, it’s irrelevant. They are changing the way people spelled things for many years and are introducing doubt in the way cities are spelled.
