1. The Lapid/Bennett proposal, while it defunds Yeshivos who do not turn over enough Talmidim to the military, goes further and also applies criminal draft-dodging penalties to each individual Talmid who dodges the draft.
2. Considering the government uses taxpayer funding (including frum taxpayers) to pay for university students education, it is only equitable that they similarly fund Torah scholars education.
