There are thousands of Rabbis who have various functions outside the pulpit, such as: they teach in religious schools; supervise kashrus; work for frum organizations and agencies; work for kiruv; are shochtim or mohelim; have smicha but hold regular jobs; etc. Their wives are not Rebbetzins.
