For better or for worse, the predominant image in people’s minds is that while height is inborn and genetic (barring HGH and malnutrition), weight is something that is the other person’s fault. When you are rejecting a heavy girl, people feel, you are blaming or condemning her for something which may or may not be her fault. It’s like the popular image is that a heavy girl has something wrong while a short guy has whatever kind of genetics.
