It’s still a psychotropic drug, and the fact that people run to a shrink over every little disturbance in life shows that we’re in an over-medicated society (Prozac nation, if you will), and that there is s tendency to pathologize and diagnose what amounts to spinelessness, an inability to cope, and a lack of resiliency in many cases. No wonder why most psychiatric clinical trials are funded by Big Pharma (6 months before adderall came out, there were tons of ADD/ADHD studies being published in the journals).
