All the more reason to not overstate arguments and to be very, very clear about what you truly believe. And think about it – if no one would have made up the shtus that human blood is chazer treif back in the day when they were trying to refute the blood libels, and instead they would have stuck to the simple and true argument of “we don’t go around killing innocent children and you have zero evidence that we do” – we wouldn’t be having this discussion in the first place, because there would be no risk in telling the truth.
