Thank you for bringing this up, about the hafroshas challah. For nine cups of flour, you take challah without a brocha. Of course it is a beautiful mitzvah to take challah with a brocha, but I have a very small family who eats very little challah and we don’t like freezer challah! So this is what I do. If you want to take challah just double the recipe and i think you have enough to take with a brocha. You can cut down the sugar if you don’t like it so sweet. I just know this recipe WORKS.
