sam: perhaps i am not stressing enough that even once i both realize that i am biting my nails and that it is shabbos, as much as i want to stop, even being cognizant of those two facts i still simply cannot get myself to stop. and i did it on yom kippur even after realizing what i am doing. i certainly did not want to do it on yom kippur. i did it even though the people sitting next to me might have noticed me doing it. i just couldnt stop myself.
