it is not a shogeg. There is no lack of knowledge that it is Shabbos or that nail biting is assur.Those are the only two types of shogeg on Shabbos. What you most likely are claiming is that because the nail biter does so without thinking about it is a misasek.I don’t believe that doing something by rote meets the requirements of misasek either.There needs to be a real lack of daas that the act was assur( mischavin l’talush…..)
